CONTEXT

BIT HABITAT, the urban innovation office of the Barcelona City Council, commissioned us to design a corporeal element for the Barcelona Innova Week 2023 event, with the aim that the piece could be reused in future editions.

CHALLENGE

To create an installation representative of the spirit of sustainable innovation, capable of welcoming, communicating and dialoguing with the public, avoiding ephemeral production.

SOLUTION

We designed a modular system based on our CIBICO® material, composed of nestable and customizable modules that allow multiple configurations to be generated.
The design was articulated around six main modules and three mobile arrows that suggested key concepts of the edition, integrating the graphic identity developed by the Esiete studio.

The result was a lightweight, adaptable and fully reusable structure that turned the event space itself into a tangible message about circularity and responsible design.

The project consolidated BIT Habitat’s position as a benchmark in sustainable urban innovation and demonstrated how institutional communication can materialize in a way that is consistent with its environmental values.
