Workshop 2h – Introduction to Biomaterials

Discover how nature can become design with Naif Lab, an internationally recognized laboratory known for its innovations in biomaterials.

In this *2-hour workshop, you will learn in a hands-on and enjoyable way what biomaterials are and how organic waste can be transformed into creative and sustainable objects.

You’ll get an inside look at the processes we use in our international projects, such as:

• Mango window displays in New York
• IKEA installations in Madrid

No prior experience is needed—just come ready to explore, touch, and experiment with natural materials while connecting with regenerative design.

• Small group: maximum 10 participants

• Guided visit through the Naif Lab showroom, a materials archive showcasing 6 years dedicated to developing and applying biomaterials

• Introduction to biomaterial design

• Live demonstrations

• Practical session where you will create your own piece using collagen and organic residues

4h Workshop – Full Experience with Naif Lab

🌱 Create your own pieces and experience the full journey of the biomaterials used in Naif Lab’s international projects.

Live the full experience of creating with biomaterials alongside Naif Lab, an internationally recognized laboratory known for combining art, science, and sustainability in high-impact projects.

Over 4 hours, you’ll enjoy a mix of talk, demonstration, and co-creation to understand how waste can be transformed into a resource — and how design can give value back to nature.

In this exclusive session, you will:

Create three different pieces, including:

• A custom Barcelona panot made with olive pits and other organic waste
• A 3D piece designed and molded by you
• An additional piece for free experimentation with materials and natural pigments

Learn techniques for painting, molding, and manipulating biomaterials, working with collagen and organic waste

Begin with a guided tour of our showroom, where we showcase the results of 6 years of research and international projects

Receive a practical PDF guide so you can replicate the processes at home
